For 125 years, organized plumbers in the Washington, D.C., area have stood proudly at the forefront of innovative trade unionism. The organization,Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 5, celebrated this milestone on Saturday, April 18 at the Marriott Wardman Park with over 1,000 guests, guest speakers and presenters, a legacy video, dinner, and A LOT of dancing!
Since 1890, the Plumbers & Gasfitters Local Union 5 has been committed to “Protecting the Health” of our Nation’s Capital. From the bathroom fixtures through the sewers below the street, to the treatment plants we safeguard the water supply for the health of our communities and protect our environment for future generations with treatment plants for waste water. Entertainment Exchange had the pleasure of working with Best Bark Communications and Image Crafters – a new event production collaboration from Pat Richitt and Mike Ostrow of Entertainment Exchange and Janice Ockershausen of Best Bark Communications – to celebrate 125 years of Plumbers & Gasfitters Local Union 5!
Entertainment Exchange brought in Washington’s most exciting an elegant Big Band, Radio Kings Orchestra, as the Opening Act. Radio Kings Orchestra was incredible and got the event entertainment kicked-off on the right foot.

The evening continued with Free Spirit who performed for the remainder of the evening. The guests spent the rest of the evening dancing and singing to hit songs.
Free Spirit got guests movin’ and groovin’ on the dance floor all night!
