EVENT RECAP: Fashion of Goodwill Runway Show

Our friends over at Goodwill of Greater Washington hosted their popular Annual Fundraiser & Fashion of Goodwill Runway Show on Wednesday, September 17 at the NEW Marriott Marquis with the theme, “Let’s Get To Work“.

We had the pleasure of producing this event and it was quite a night!  Hundreds of supporters gathered in the ballroom to support a great cause AND view the incredible merchandise that can be purchased at the regions 10+ locations.

Per the DC Goodwill Fashionista, the show kicked off with some inspiring words from the CEO of GGW, Ms. Catherine Meloy. She spoke with grace about the uniqueness of this year’s theme, Let’s Get To Work, as it completely encompasses the mission of Goodwill of Greater Washington. We even got the chance to see all of the graduates of the Goodwill and Marriott Marquis Training Program come out and have a moment to proudly walk the runway – it gave me chills to see them glowing in their accomplishments! That is what this event is all about. After celebrating the Goodwill mission, it was time for the fashion, dear readers. Tu-anh’s vision encompassed all aspects of the theme; this was no rigid, black and white, corporate fashion show. Creative genius strutted down the runway as we saw the vision of “Let’s Get To Work!” truly come to life.  You can view this full recap of the event over on the DCGF blog.
