Nita Young of Infusion Band soars to #17 on iTunes on Holiday Charts with former Disney cast members
For over 22 years, Entertainment Exchange has showcased some of the country’s top musicians and creative artists.
Garnering the title as one of the top-tier east coast talent agencies, it comes as no surprise that EE Talent’s roster includes industry giants like former “Miss Virginia” and Disney “Mouseketeer” Nita Young.
Young, along with 16 other cast members from the ‘All New’ Mickey Mouse Club, reunited and released a 17- track Christmas album entitled Why? Because It’s Christmas.
At press time, the album is #17 on the iTunes Holiday Charts.
Top DC Wedding Band Led by former Disney Star
Nita is excited to see her 26-year career continue to flourish both internationally and locally as bandleader of one of Entertainment Exchange’s top wedding bands Infusion.
Nita was featured on seasons 4-7 of the show alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and Ryan Gosling.
Nita’s thoughts on the new album
“I believe we all put on this on this Earth with a purpose. This album is an opportunity for me to give back and to use my gift to benefit others in a time when so many of us are in need. Music can heal, distract, and bring joy. It is something I often see when performing with my band, Infusion. Whatever was concerning you fades into the background as the music takes over and consumes your thoughts. When we go on stage to perform, that’s what we hope to achieve. We want to give people a positive distraction from all that worries them. We even find a piece of that refuge for ourselves. It is my honor to be able to share this gift and the experience with the world.”
Stream Holiday Album and Support Musicians Impacted by Coronavirus Pandemic
The record was released on November 11, and proceeds will go toward people affected by the coronavirus pandemic through MusiCares and The Brave of Heart Fund. Nita showcases her vocal talent on the song “What Child Is This?” with The Voice’s Tony Lucca. For those in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area, you can catch Nita live on the Coast Morning show in the 9 o’clock hour on CBS.

Nita Young, a former Mouseketeer on the Disney Channel’s “Mickey Mouse Club.” She is a classically trained vocalist with over 17 years experience in the industry and over 25 years of experience performing professionally, sharing the stage with acts like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Keri Russel, Ryan Gosling, JC Chasez, and Joey Fatone of NSync and En Vogue’s Rhona Bennett.
Nita is the first African-American to become Miss Virginia and the creator of “Music for Virginia Babies”, a program to help brain development in newborns using classical music.
Nita has performed across the U.S. and Europe and has had the privilege of entertaining former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and other celebrities like Ruppert Murdoch and David Tutera.
