Sin Miedo

Sin Miedo is Spanish for “fearless,” and it’s also the name of one of the best Salsa bands in Washington. Led by French pianist Didier Prossaird, the name sums up the band leader’s attitude toward music (Washington Post).

Sin Miedo is a truly international group that makes the Afro-Cuban rhythms of Salsa and Mambo jump into your bloodstream and move your hips around (Washington Flyer).

It has been over 10 years since Sin Miedo first started in a small club in Adams Morgan (Washington DC), called Rumba Cafe. What started as a quintet ended up as a 10 piece band. The band plays mostly Salsa from the 70’s to today’s radio hits, Chachacha, Bolero, Bomba and Plena with one goal — to make you dance! Sin Miedo also has a large Latin Jazz repertoire. Sin Miedo also plays French Salsa, thanks to the band leader – Didier. Yes! He is French!

Sin Miedo has had the honor of working with great talented artist such as Frankie Vasquez and Tito Allen to name a few. They have collaborated for the past 5 years with Septime Weber, Artistic director of the Washington Ballet, to accompany his choreography “Juanita and Alicia.” Sin Miedo has recently toured many Cities in the US and performed in Cuba.
